Tevilah – Mikveh

According to the Torah, for an impure soul or body to regain its ritual purity, the whole body should be immersed in a natural water source.

Mikveh is a special pool in which rain water, collected naturally is stored.

• Women who have had a childbirth or ended their monthly period,

• Brides to be,

• Men who wish to achieve ritual purity,

• Members of other religions who want to convert to Judaism must perform Tevilah.

The Neve Shalom mikveh closed in November 2021. The mikveh of Şişli Synagogue continues to serve.
